Ingredients

Scale

For the Wontons

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup mashed ripe banana
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons canned crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup marshmallow creme
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Cooking spray

SAUCE:

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • Confectioners’ sugar and ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. Make the Filling:

  • In a small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Stir in the shredded coconut, mashed banana, chopped walnuts, and crushed pineapple.
  • Fold in the marshmallow creme until well combined.

2. Assemble the Wontons:

  • Position a wonton wrapper with one point toward you.
  • Keep the remaining wrappers covered with a damp paper towel until ready to use to prevent them from drying out.
  • Place 2 teaspoons of the filling in the center of the wrapper.
  • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water.
  • Fold the opposite corners together over the filling, forming a triangle, and press the edges firmly to seal.
  • Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

3. Cook the Wontons in the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In batches, arrange the wontons in a single layer on a greased tray in the air-fryer basket.
  • Spritz the wontons with cooking spray.
  • Cook until golden brown and crisp, 10-12 minutes.

4. Make the Strawberry Sauce:

  • While the wontons are cooking, make the sauce. Place the hulled strawberries in a food processor; cover and process until pureed.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch.
  • Stir in the pureed strawberries.
  • Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  • If desired, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds, reserving the sauce and discarding the seeds.

5. Serve:

  • Sprinkle the cooked wontons with confectioners’ sugar and cinnamon.
  • Serve warm with the strawberry sauce.
