Make delicious and Easy Chicken Caesar Wraps! This quick recipe combines chopped romaine, cooked chicken, Parmesan, croutons, and Caesar dressing all wrapped in a soft tortilla.

Ingredients

(Based on 1x column, makes 4 wraps)

  • ▢ 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • ▢ 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken (grilled, fried, or rotisserie)
  • ▢ 1/3 cup Caesar dressing (plus more if desired)
  • ▢ 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ▢ 1/2 cup homemade or store-bought croutons, slightly crushed if large
  • ▢ Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • ▢ 4 flour tortillas or wraps (10-inch size)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Salad Mixture:

  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, chopped cooked chicken, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, and croutons.
  • Using tongs or large spoons, toss everything together gently but thoroughly until the lettuce and chicken are evenly coated with the dressing and the Parmesan and croutons are well distributed.
  • Season the salad mixture with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to your taste. Toss again briefly.
  • Taste a piece of lettuce – if it seems dry for your liking, add a little more Caesar dressing and toss again. Set the bowl aside for a moment.

2. Warm the Tortillas:

  • Heat a large dry skillet or pan over medium heat. Place one tortilla in the warm pan for about 15 to 30 seconds per side, just until it becomes soft and pliable. Avoid making it crisp.
  • Immediately place the warmed tortilla on a plate and cover it with a clean kitchen towel to keep it warm and flexible.
  • Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas, stacking them under the towel as you go.
  • (Alternative Microwave Method: Loosely wrap the stack of tortillas in damp paper towels and microwave for 15 to 30 seconds until warm and pliable).

3. Assemble the Wraps:

  • Lay one warm tortilla flat on a clean work surface.
  • Spoon one-quarter of the prepared Caesar salad mixture in a line down the center of the tortilla, leaving some empty space at the top and bottom edges.
  • Fold the wrap burrito-style: Gently fold the short sides (left and right) inward slightly over the filling.
  • Take the bottom edge (the one closest to you) and fold it up tightly over the filling.
  • Continue rolling the tortilla upwards away from you, keeping it snug, to form a compact cylinder.
  • Optional: To help keep the wrap securely closed, you can stick a toothpick horizontally through the center where the seam ends.

4. Serve:

  • The Chicken Caesar Wraps can be served whole or sliced in half diagonally using a sharp knife for a nice presentation.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture (crisp lettuce and croutons!).
