The Easiest Foolproof Bisquick Peach Cobbler

A close-up of a warm bowl of Bisquick Peach Cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting on top.

An incredibly easy peach cobbler recipe made with Bisquick baking mix for a simple, cake-like batter. A smooth batter of Bisquick, milk, and nutmeg is mixed directly in a baking dish and combined with melted butter. Canned sliced peaches mixed with sugar are spooned over the top. As it bakes, the batter rises up and around the fruit, creating a golden-brown crust over a sweet, bubbly peach layer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 (29 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained
  • 1 cup white sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In an ungreased 8×8-inch baking dish, stir together the Bisquick mix, milk, and nutmeg until the batter is smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the batter until it is blended.
  4. In a separate large bowl, stir together the drained peach slices and the sugar until combined.
  5. Spoon the sugared peaches evenly over the batter in the baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the topping is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • This recipe uses Bisquick baking mix as a convenient shortcut, eliminating the need to measure and mix separate dry ingredients for the batter.
  • The batter is mixed directly in the baking dish for minimal cleanup.
  • This cobbler is delicious served warm, often with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
